Abstract

This study examined the impact of social media use and self- efficacy on the English vocabulary mastery of 86 eighth-grade students. Utilizing questionnaires to assess social media engagement and self-efficacy, alongside a vocabulary mastery test, the research found that both social media involvement and self-efficacy significantly contributed to improve vocabulary recall. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.787) was identified between these independent variables and vocabulary mastery. The findings highlight the importance of integrating digital learning resources and fostering student self- esteem to enhance vocabulary learning outcomes, underscoring the influence of student perspectives on effective, learner-centered language training.
