Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Phet Interactive Simulations Untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru SDN 11 Pekayon Jakarta Timur

Abstract


The Independent Curriculum emphasizes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) which require teachers have skill in integrating information technology into the learning process. This study aims to improve teachers competence at SDN 11 Pekayon Jakarta through training the use of digital applications named the PhET Interactive Simulation on learning materials for the human digestive system. The research method is a descriptive qualitative approach with Design and Development (D&D) . The quantitative data collection technique uses a purposive sampling technique with Likert scale questionnaire. Based on the results, shows that teachers experienced an increase in understanding of the concept of the human digestive system with PhET simulation, teachers were able to integrate PhET into lesson plans and STEM based digital teaching modules, and teachers were proficient in operating the PhET Interactive Simulation application. Based on the evaluation, teachers use interactive simulation media in the learning process because can increase learning motivation and active participation from students. The conclusion is the use of the PhET Interactive Simulation application can significantly improve the quality of science learning as shown by teacher understanding and competency. This research expected to support teaching abilities so teachers more innovative and adaptive in facing future learning challenges.
