Analisis Kesantunan Bahasa dan Nilai Sosial dalam Novel Hujan dan Laskar Pelangi serta Implikasinya terhadap Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the use of language influenced by social context and relationships between characters, and to introduce social values such as friendship, honesty, and justice. The research technique used by the author is a qualitative descriptive technique with content analysis. Politeness of Language in the Novel 'Hujan' by Tere Liye with the results of the study showing that the novel 'Hujan' describes the results of the percentages found, namely directive illocution 20% or 2 times found. Commissive illocution 20% or 2 times found, expressive illocution 40% or 4 times found, and assertive illocution 20% or 2 times found. Politeness of Language in the Novel 'Laskar Pelangi' by Andrea Hirata with the results of the study showing that the novel 'Laskar Pelangi' describes the percentages found, namely directive illocution 34% or 3 times found. Commissive illocution 22% or 2 times found, expressive illocution 22% or 2 times found, and assertive illocution 22% or 2 times found. Social Values in the Novel ‘Hujan’ by Tere Liye, the results of the study show that the novel ‘Hujan’ depicts very important social values in people's lives. Through the characters and conflicts faced, Tere Liye highlights the themes of solidarity, empathy, and the struggle for justice. Social Values in the Novel ‘Laskar Pelangi’ with the results of the study show that the novel ‘Hujan’ depicts deep social values, including the spirit of education, friendship, and social justice. Through the story of a group of children in Belitung, Andrea Hirata highlights the importance of education as a tool to change fate and fight for dreams.
