The Effect of the Perception on the Language Learning Strategy and Self Learning Toward the Skill of Writing English Narrative Text

Abstract


The purpose of the study is to find out: 1). The effect of the perception on the language learning strategy and self-learning collaboratively toward the skill of writing narrative text; 2). the effect of the perception on the language learning strategy towards the skill of writing narrative text, and 3). the effect of self-learning towards the skill of writing narrative text. The method of the research is a descriptive survey applying double regression linearity. This method used some samples from a number of population and used questionnaires for the data collection. The samples are taken from two (2) classes from two (2) State Senior High schools namely SMA N 95 and SMA N 84 West Jakarta. The result of the research shows that; 1). There is a collaborative significant effect of the perception on the language learning strategy and self-learning collaboratively toward the skill of writing narrative text of the Public Senior High Schools’students in West Jakarta. The significant effect was proved by the score of Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05 and F0= 70,383, 2). There is significant effect of the perception on the language learning strategy towards the skill of writing narrative text of the State Senior High Schools’students in West Jakarta.The significant effect was proved by the score of Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05 and t0 = 4,091. 3). There is a significant effect of self-learning collaboratively towards the skill of writing narrative text of the State Senior High Schools’students in West Jakarta. The significant effect was shown by the score of Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05 and t0= 7,752.
